A widow named Aoi mourns her late husband's passing in a car accident. After the funeral, his father Taketo forces her into a difficult decision. He tells her that since they have no children, there's no reason for her to stay at their home anymore. As she trembles, he proposes something else - if she becomes pregnant with his son's child, then she can continue living in the Smallz family, preserving their bloodline.
